About

Every BGG member has the desire to see each other’s business develop and grow. They offer other members support, friendship, ideas and experience. Meeting weekly, members get to know each other well, enabling them to understand the benefits of every business represented within the group so that they feel confident in referring other members to their own customers and contacts.
The Business Growth Group (BGG) meets weekly and the sessions offer:

The BGG exists to ensure that members benefit from their weekly commitment. We use our time to get to know each other so we can like each other and, most importantly, trust each other. (We’re guessing you may have read Bob Burg’s Endless Referrals so you understand the need for ‘Know, Like, Trust’). Referrals are therefore made between members with confidence – our members act as indirect salespeople for other members and we believe that the BGG is one of the most successful referral networking groups in the South West.

The BGG’s goal is to help small business owners grow their network and increase their success. The group is committed to helping businesses of all sizes and stages of growth, from startups to established companies. Business owners often say that much of their business comes from referrals. Most, however, don’t have a reliable way of getting referrals consistently, which is where the Business Growth Group can help. Each member records anonymously the value of business that they have received from other members in the group, so we know that an average seat is worth in the region of £34,000 per year.

Operating a single-seat policy means that there is no competition between members and ensures that opportunities in your profession will be referred to you. We ensure that new members complement the diverse range of existing members which ensures the greatest business opportunities for all.

Encouraging regular one-to-one meetings between members, in addition to meeting weekly, also helps build solid business relationships as well as giving a greater opportunity to get to know individuals better. The old adage, ‘people buy people’ is true, and at the Business Growth Group there are opportunities to present your business, offer educational slots as well as attending tailor-made training courses and social events.
